This might be a dumb question. Any way to avoid overwriting flex tracks?

I keep overwriting flex track samples by accident by pressing right on a sample that is being used instead of choosing an empty slot.

I can set up arrangements, banks, patterns etc…but I find that its very easy to mess them all up by accidentally changing a sample. I often make something on a new bank, then go back to a previous bank and find that everything is messed up.

If there something I’m missing, or do I just need to be more careful? thanks

Pretty much.

Sample slot list is global for the project.
So all tracks patterns reference the samples from that list, and that list only.

If you change a sample in any slot, any track on any pattern using that slot will be changed.
