SO i spent 2 a couple of hours today troubleshooting why I was getting random pops and snaps in my audio - turns out the USB cable from overhub to the digitakt was sending ‘pulses’ resulting in loud audio snaps when the Digitakt was monitoring the inputs (even with no audio cable connected to the inputs) These were happening randomly a few times per minute.
I tried a different cable - same result. Overhub was only powered via USB from the macbook pro (no ext power) tried rebooking the mac etc
here is my concern - I transferred a lot of sysex data yesterday using this overhub - backups of all my analog 4 projects and patches, transferring audio samples to the digitakt etc.
I am worried I have to redo all of that backing up and transferring due to the potential for data corruption due to these ‘power spikes’… or damage to my equipment (multiple synths plugged in to USB)
advice would be appreciated
