Overcycler from GliGli - Hybrid Polysynth

I posted about this before but this sounds so good and is so affordable that it deserves its own thread.

  • 6 voice polyphony using hybrid synthesis
  • Two digital “single cycle” oscillators per voice. 80khz sample rate
  • Per-voice analog VCF and VCA, 2044 based
  • 3 complete envelopes with lin/exp choice and looping (oscillators/filter/amplifier)
  • 2 complete LFOs with 6 modulation destinations
  • 1 noise generator
  • Voice panning on the stereo output
  • Sequencer / Arpeggiator
  • Patches and single cycles (AKWF, ProphetVS, …) stored on an internal flash chip, accessible through USB mass storage
  • USB powered with USB MIDI and regular MIDI
  • Open source

As always, please be respectful with your posts.

Clocks. Dark side of the Moon time intro

Hello Elektronauts!

Here are some sounds I created for the GliGli Overcycler (most of them are factory presets now).

In some of the examples, you’ll notice effects applied toward the end, allowing you to hear the sounds both dry and with effects. No other processing has been used.

Just a patch I’ve made that I wanted to share with you E-Nauts!

I’ve also written a review of this new synth by Fabrice. For anyone interested, here’s the link: GliGli’s Overcycler, an affordable and ‘cycle-over-the-top’ synthesizer? | Solidtrax

And a couple of more patches that are available soon:

Great synth, just wondering about this:
Many sounds use this “Oberheim”-like spreading of the voices left->right, is there any (global) way to reduce or remove that panning completely, so all 6 voices stay in the center?

I had the same question when my unit arrived, but the only way to do that is by collapsing the stereo width to 0% in your DAW or by panning the channels on your mixer. It would have been great to have control over it via the OS, but I’m afraid it’s done on the hardware itself. That’s what Fabrice told me about it.
