Overbridge - Ableton live troubles OsX

Im having different problems with Overbridge in Ableton,

tracks sometimes do a low buffer type of noise when I change sound settings (in the machine, not in Overbridge) and there are eventual clock jumps.

Im quite desperate, I have tried all the possible buffer settings and bit depths (In ableton and overbridge), I also tried not using Overbridge but selecting analog rytm as audio input and sending clock to the machine and the same problems happen.

CPU is peaking at 34%
Im using quite heavy Max for Live stuff (in case this information is relevant)

Im on Yosemite (my soundcard is not suported by the latest OsX’s)
2.7 GHz intel i5
8Gb Ram

Anyone can help?

Hello @personalmythologies not sure i will fix your issue. But before to submit a support ticket at elektron.se

Could you make something ??? :

  • Try a session with no soundcard except internal one for now. No USB except one of your Overbridge Device.

  • Update your Ableton Live it should be 9.7.1

  • Download one of my template according to your Overbridge Device
    Analog Four : https://www.elektronauts.com/files/394
    Analog Rytm : https://www.elektronauts.com/files/397

  • Set Overbridge plugin in Sync mode clock but work in arrangement view for now not clip one.

  • Try this settings (and select for this test only the Master in Overbridge panel) :
_Try Set Recording Parameter in Ableton to 16bits - 48000 (so select 16bits in OverBridge Panel)
Buffer at 64 on both Ableton Live and Overbridge if you have problem pass it at 128, then 256
Margin is at 50 (same if problem pass it at 75/100)
_Try Set Recording Parameter in Ableton to 24bits - 48000 (so select 24bits in OverBridge Panel)
Buffer at 64 on both Ableton Live and Overbridge if you have problem pass it at 128, then 256
Margin is at 50 (same if problem pass it at 75/100)

THEN tell us if it’s a bit better…

Try also this few rules of Mac optimization for Music station under Yosemite :

Maybe before the Overbridge Testing
it will not damaged your Mac and all can set back to default afterwise

Hi @William_WiLD sorry for the late reply… and thanks for yours.

i’ve tried what you told me and all seems fine on that configuration.

EDIT: When i go multitrack the crackles appear again…

I already had done the optimization you pointed to…

Thanks!
