Over bridge possible without DAW?

Greetings. I use Roland vs recorders, no daw. Anyone know if I can use over bridge without a daw?

I also tried loading samples via C6 but I kept getting a “cannot allocate midi in” so I couldn’t load any samples.

Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

No.

It requires a VST or AU host.

For your C6 issues, make sure that your Rytm is in USB Midi mode (not Overbridge mode)
[Global—.System—USB mode]

Thanks for the response. Guess I’ll give Reaper a shot for converting to mono & 16 bit, and for O B.

I think the midi allocate issue is on my pc.

I thought a standalone app was on the roadmap, helpful to do design, management and sample stuff. Might be a while waiting !

I disabled GS wavetable synth & then I was able to send around 15 samples successfully.

I get to the 2:42 point in the Transferring Samples video = “sysex dump reception.”

At that point in the video, he drags & drops the sysex project file into C6.

Forgive me if it’s a dumb question, but I don’t think I have any syx files/projects on my pc.
