Thanks for sharing this! That area is so beautiful. I’m looking forward to a backpacking trip into the interior this winter - perhaps Flapjack Lakes or Upper Lena Lake.

gps route showed the climbing to not hit grades above 15% but my bike computer showed grades reaching 28% while actually riding

I wonder if your GPS was displaying the slope in degrees while your bike computer was showing you the grade percentage as a 15 degree grade and a 28% slope are nearly equivalent…

They are both showing grade %, what’s weird is that the super steep grades I was seeing on the bike computer are not reflected in the Strava data from the ride, maybe I hallucinated the +20% in moments of exhaustion lol.
