Now imagine how the same concept applies to more consequential topics. If you know about a subject you can tell fact from fiction. Making the lying chatbot ultimately useless to you. If you don’t know about a subject you can’t trust the lying chatbot, unless you want to learn lies, I guess? Making the lying chatbot useless to the rest of us.

ai doesn’t judge your music will live forever in the cloud (add punctuation wherever you like)
This was my concern too. I’ve stopped uploading audio directly to the forum for this reason. I know it doesn’t outright stop anything, but as some of the leading companies seem be attempting to distance themselves from training on any pay-for-services, for now I’m limiting to using SC or Bandcamp. There’s other alternatives too.

one time I was flying through a particular country, just a standard connecting flight, and the airport took our passports for an hour then put us through five different face and hand print machines at five different parts of the airport, I remember feeling totally powerless and that all of my identity had been robbed that day, but then I realised it didn’t matter because everyone else on that flight and all the other flights had the same thing so its just the way of the world changing and developing

Well that was my first thought too (referring to my own music hehe 
) , but the second thought was also: isn’t that the same as the classic argument : i don’t care if my privacy is being violated because I have nothing to hide., or, i don’t care about free speech because I have nothing to say?

This video is like listening to one of my high school book reports when I hadn’t done any of the readings and was just winging it.
What makes it really cringe is that I’m sure I sounded just as cocky and full of shit as that fake LLM voice does.

I’m really glad people are talking about this, but it’s kind of always been like this on the internet. At least as long as I’ve been putting stuff up on the internet, people have been stealing it.
Sure, it wasn’t giant companies scraping my stuff back then. But from the first time I started putting up original art on Flickr and Tumblr, I’d catch people stealing my stuff. Epecially as “free” art for their band or wellness blog or whatever.
Back then, someone had built a third-party app that would send you an alert when an image from your feed or photostream showed up online somewhere else. I lost so much time emailing people because they were using my work without permission.
Though I guess it’s worse now because there isn’t even a person stealing your stuff, it’s just some giant faceless company. Who is in bed with the government. Okay, you’re right it’s a lot worse now.
But I guess what I’m saying is, what can you do? Not posting stuff or sharing my art because of these thieves feels like another way of letting them win.

There are some html settings, which disallow ai on the website, not sure if it keeps suno out.
I dont want my music to be scraped.

happy to see on reddit alot of users disappointed with the latest version of suno, which insinuates to me they’ve had to change their training data from their previous thievery.
as for scraping, any system that can access the wider internet has scraped this place dry.
as for audio i’m not so clear, i’d actually be interested to hear what it would do with all the current sound threads mp3s. that combo of shittily mixed sketches and innovative splatters of genius would create a cool new genre.
