OT to Audio Interface

Hoping someone can help me and tell me what I’m doing wrong here. I’m struggling to get stereo from my OT into my interface (Novation Nio 2/4).

I have a double jack cable running from the OT main output, going to double RCA into the Nio. I can only get the OT’s input on the Nio when I switch to mono though. I get stereo fine when I just feed the OT straight into my monitors and I get stereo fine on the Nio from my computers USB.

Anyone able point out my error here? Thanks.

If I have one single stereo jack from either ‘l or r’ of Octatracks output will I get a stereo signal or just one side of a stereo signal?

just one side, for stereo you need to take the L and R with mono cables
, though you could try the headphone output which is in stereo

I don’t know that interface but by the look of it you should be able to set the inputs 1/2 to stereo, as for the monitor outputs. Is there a software mixer you can use with that interface ?

Looking at the manual, you can try this:

Set the switch up left to MON, and raise the level a bit.
Raise the input gain 1 and 2 to the same level.
Turn the mix.ip knob fully right, clockwise.
Set the input switch to stereo.
Set the meters switch to input 1/2.

You should be able to blend some of your DAW by setting the mix/ip knob to the middle and playing with the mix a/b knob.

That actually did the trick, dunno how I missed that. Even Novation support couldn’t make sense of it. Thanks Shoki.
