Hi there,
The OT midi arppegiator is excellent which creates unimagined phrase for me. I just wanna know if there is an option to control swing amount on the midi arppegiator…
Welcome to the forum. And no is your answer. Sorry!
Tks! Will try alternatives like Arturia Beatstep Pro.
Use a custom arpeggio pattern + speed multiplier. Will take some math and/or trial and error that I haven’t done, but it should work.
You can still have swing on the trigs though, can help with the feel.
They always result in unpredicted phrases! I like them.
Yeah, i gonna try to record out from synth back to octatrack then apply slice n trig swing.
One workaround could be to use an LFO to modulate the transpose parameter.
Yeah I didn’t think about the fact that as far as the arpeggiator is concerned the downbeat will always be the moment a note is played, so it wouldn’t really work for swing relative to the master clock I guess.
Sorry to be off topic in your thread but I didn’t want to create a new one for a quick question about the arp.
Is the arp only for midi tracks that control external gear? I’ve bought and watched the thavius octatrack videos but I haven’t figured out if the arp can be used on internal tracks? Thanks!
Midi only. But you can send the midi out back into the midi in. Search “midi loopback Octatrack”.
Thank you!
