OT plus MD

So, I recently bought a MD, arrived just today and OH SURPRISE the sequencer is very different than the Octatrack. The Octatrack was my first Elektron product, and now I got my hands on a MD+ UW, loving it, but I find the octatrack sequencer to be more appealing to me, because of polyrhytms, file managing, browsing (well no, I find browsing better on the MD)

Anyways my point being that, I want to know your set up, Cause I’m busting my mind on thinking a smart way to use both machines for composing and performance. By this I mean should the octatrack be the master clock and the MD the slave, how to control extra parameters with the octatrack on the machinedrum, using the bundled Turbo Midi Interface, etc.

I wanna know how you’re using and if you have any recommendations on how to use both machines.
My first test was the octatrack as a master and the MD as a slave but I found out that the clock was not synced correctly, and my settings on the OCtatrack were fine.

pretty much a winning combination for me +)
i didnt experience (or hear) any timing issues - felt pretty solid to me). my OT is the master and in the beginning I had the OT send program changes too which is cool when using the arranging mode as you only have to worry about it on one end (OT)…

but I ended up having the MD only tempo and transport slaved to the OT. And then, depending on the needs either just a through machine or 2 more tracks with dedicated recorders… recently I ended up only recording phrases into the OT, switch off the MD and then take it from there… but I’m pretty early stages figuring out my personal ‘workflow’ (no work or flow present yet) - the latter method felt pretty natural tho as it made me focus more on one thing

Hi there, I’m trying to trigger MD from OT midi track, by using Map editor however it is not working correctly. I set all chromatic keys on OT (C0 to D1#, 1 to 16), but some trigger doesn’t work. They work properly on chromatic key mode, but when I set trigger, some don’t work( Such as Pat2 of C0#, Pat5 of E0…) on Sequence. Does anyone have nice idea?
