OT patterns and DT patterns problem

I got the DT over a year ago and really love the workflow.
Recently I bought the OT with the idea to split rolls - DT for the drums, OT for the rest.
I’m used to arrange songs which means not just the same melody building up but also different
chords and instruments / c-parts / intro / outro and stuff - which the DT is great for. So OT parts work differently - the sounds don’t change. This is where the parts come in right? But this kind of ruins the sync since when I want to change a part of the song the DT doesn’t change pattern because it doesn’t get a program change from switching parts…
Anyone else having this issue with his workflow or am I just missing something here? I know - trig conditions but it is kind of a struggle to programm them in for every track on every song.
I really like the OT but it doesn’t make any sense to me that changing sounds is locked behind this weird cross menu of parts instead of using patterns for it like on the DT

Each OT bank has 4 parts, when you assign a part to a pattern it stays linked to it, then you can change parts by pattern switching. OT can send PC per pattern for straight A1-A1, A2-A2, type sync from the project menu sync option, or you can send configurable PC per part from the MIDI tracks…

Use a scene and work on your timing. Granted you can’t change samples wit a scene(outside of sample chains) but you can do a lot with scenes. Change patterns on the DT, and use OTs scenes to mix stuff up.

For better cohesion, run the DT outs into the OT ins so you have the option of using OT FX on the DT to make the OT more central to your performance element- that’s the closest you’re going to get to manipulating your entire performance from one surface

Thanks guys! I red a little more into parts and patterns and I now realize how it works with the linking of both. This makes now sense to me. The OT really needs a lot of knowlege…
