Made a ticket for this but obviously impatient. Can’t find anything specifically related online about it.
Ive been working on a tune this week and today turned on the OT and it won’t play via midi, nor do any of the buttons respond. Ive done a reset, test mode came back with nothing, and I’ve flashed the FW via midi. Same thing
Am I missing something anyone can help with? Pretty distraught!
Hey, I’m sure you’re frustrated and I don’t know if this will help but since you were able to enter test mode and get a result that means that the function button worked when starting (to enter the boot menu) and you were able to use the trigs to enter test mode and run diagnostic so if you think of the pre boot menu as safe mode, or more accurately like DOS, at it’s core the machine is probably ok - but since the button pressing or midi control has no affect after startup it’s likely the shell program which is your operating system that seems to be having the issue.
Whether you can recover your data, I don’t know. When you flashed your FW if you by chance did it with a bin file over usb, you may want to try instead using a sysex file over a din connection. If you already did that (sysex), you could attempt to load a prior version of the firmware. I don’t really have any other suggestions but good luck and support is pretty good at responding so even if no one else has any conclusive info I’m sure they’ll get you sorted.
Have you tried booting it up without a CF card inserted?
