OT MK2 - in USB mode disk gets unmounted while copying

I plug my OT MK2 into my computer & mount it in USB mode. Copying from the OT card to my HD and the copy suddenly ends. I get a “disk not ejected safely” message. I then have to cycle my OT’s power as it still has the (exit) screen but is unresponsive.

I swapped CF cards and it did it on a brand new scandisk as well, so I think it’s in the OS not a bad card.

I’m on OS X 12.6 if that matters.

Is this a known issue? Has anyone else had this?

I did, but same result. both are the elektron USB cables fresh and new.
