Testing out the “easy” method to record OT tracks and get them out to your DAW, doing around 12 bar loops at 134 BPM, keep running into audio crackle or just straight audio freakouts in the recording process. Am recording all 8 tracks at once, 24 bit, Dynamic Recorders on, the usual.
Anyone run into this?
Could you elaborate about crackles ?
How do you preview recordings ? (Audio Editor, Static, Flex, Timestretch on/off…)
Did you try 16 bit ?
Master, Slave to midi clock ?
Rec trigs, one shot rec trigs ?
(Just curious about it)
Right, let’s see:
-Have not tried 16 bit, will do so
-OT by itself. No other gear involved
-can hear the audio going nuts while its recording, shows up in the saved per-track recordings
-Regular trigs
Ok, I went back and tried again with 16 bit and yes, the audio is breaking up still.
The first time I tried this, using 24 bit, the audio did a lot more than just break up. Horrible screeching sounds!
I tried recording less tracks simultaneously. In 16 bit, it can handle 7 simultaneously without breaking up. In 24 bit, it can only handle 6.

Once I could record 8 in 16 bit, but length was 1 bar at 82 bpm iirc. I am too busy to make further tests atm.
Internal recording.
