Hey there, I have an issue with the recorder and the automatic recording mode.
For most projects, I am putting the recording start on step 1 and let it record for 64 steps. So when recording, the whole thing starts after a full cycle (4 bars) of the OT and then plays the thing on Track 7.
After a while and turning the OT off and on and such, I am playing my songs and want to loop, so I’m arming Track 7. Then I see, that the recorder starts after max. 16 steps. Looking in the recording set-up, I see, that the OT randomly puts recording starts on every step 1 of the 4 bars.
I haven’t done that manually, so it’s quite annoying. Anyone having that issue as well?
Did you happen to place the record trig while the pattern was set to 1 bar then change the pattern length to 4 bars? If so, it will duplicate the first bar on the subsequent bars.
Also, you could remove the unwanted record trigs and then save the project, then when you restart only the record trig on step one of bar one should be present.
I hope this is helpful!
Yep. Autocopy, can be disabled in Personalize menu. Or place your rec trig after selecting track length.
Not random then.
no thats the thing. it has always been 64 bars and all of a sudden it adds more!
Can you reproduce it ?
It could be a bug.
But it’s my experience that 90% of OT bugs can be traced back to the user. We’ve all been there, trust me.
64 steps is not the default for a new pattern. So there was some auto copy go sure.
Most likely happened after you put this first trig.
I think the bug shows up when copying a pattern where the recording setup is in this state, and then in the new pattern, the recording trig is on all 4 bars.
its hard to tell, but no.
now i looked into another pattern and there was the track 7 all mixed up as well, also having a record and start buffer on the recording section on step 6, really random.
but maybe its just my mistakes.
Let us know if it happens again.
I can’t remember such bug reports here…
Thanks a lot! Legend
