OT bpm detection with analog synths

So I’ve been looking into getting an octatrack and it seems like something that is pretty much up my alley but I have some old synths that have internal clocks for triggering notes, so the question is: say I record a sample from some synth that plays a basic 4x4 bass drum sound. Will it be easy to adjust the tempo to whatever bpm I have my pattern set to?

I love making patches with these synths and the flexibility of tweaking them but part of my wanting an OT is to be able to pull out and actually work with some of the craziness from these machines.

Thank you in advance! I’m sure I’ll find amazing stuff to do with the OT (and I already have a digitone and love the sequencer and how it’s laid out) but I feel like it would be a waste if it takes me a ton of slacking over a single sample to get it to sync.

Sorry for the long winded post >_>

Yes. You can record your sample live at the same tempo as the sound source or you can timestretch a previously-recorded sample to fit your desired tempo.
