OT as polysynth with MIDI dispatch?

Hey all! This is my first post on Elektronauts, so forgive me if the topic placement is off.

I stumbled upon an amazing channel on YT ( https://youtube.com/channel/UCVmX1OtQbKROOCEDt5KTgAQ ) where guy does wondrous things with Octatrack as a polysynth.
I’ve found this device and particular mode that might do the thning: MidiDisp dispatcher | MidiSizer , it appears that MIDI dispatch sends MIDI notes alternatively to separate channels on OT.

I’m wondering is it possible to do the same sort of MIDI routing from computer through audio/MIDI interface to OT?

100% possible and many ways to go about this.
If you’re willing to invest a little time and effort, you don’t need any extra devices for this.

Edit: avenues you might wanna look into:

Bome Translator, Pure Data, Max4Live (if Ableton user), Reaper Scripts, Python …

Yes it should work (I have a MidipaI, original one). Better modes than RK002, like random voice dispatch or memory of notes.

I used RK002 for most of my videos with poly stuff.

You can also try bome translator software…
I’d recommend RK002.

I have also gone into poly OT territorries, using blokas midihub (14% discount for black friday) Very fun and powerful machine if you like its workflow and editor.

well thats embarassing, I had made it as a “proof of concept” patch and therefore overwritten it since. I think I will recreate it right now and upload to patchstorage, since there is interest
