Hey. I’m gonna try my guitar looper pedal w midi sync in/out with octatrack later today. (don’t want to use ot’s looper for guitar looping)Love any advice. Basically just want the pedal to sync to ot’s bpm. Best way/how to acomplish sending this info out from ot to the pedal. I have midi i/o cables and the pedal has midi i/o cables.

What is you looper?
In the octatrack midi settings, tick transport send and clock send. Your looper with midi should now know what the octatrack is talking about. Start, stop and bpm. Midi channel I dont know. Read the loopers manual.
My friend always sync his looper to my octatrack when we’re jamming. Sometimes after we have started the jam, I go into the midi settings again and un-tick the transport send, this way I can play around with stop and start on the octatrack without stopping his looper.
My friends favorite looper is the EHX 45000 i think its called. I dont know much about it, but I believe it always remembers the last stuff you played even though you are not currently looping… you know… how to explain… so you dont have to go: Oh man I should have looped that. Just press a button and it brings back the last stuff.
