Can I send midi from octatrack to VT3 through mx1 (OT master). As far as I know, I can’t send midi to other aira devices through USB (only clock). Thanx!
As far as I am aware the Aira gear USB is not class-compliant, so the answer is no - you need a driver. You could route MIDI through your computer though.
AFAIK, no midi USB with OT.
I wish we’ll have something compliant for USB audio/midi one day.
Edit : I just saw Mx1 has midi din but I’m not that surprised if it doesn’t work with other products than Aira.
Yeah, the MX-1 doesn’t pass MIDI Thru from DIN out to USB. The problem is the VT-3 doesn’t have DIN MIDI so you’re a bit stuck. Bit of a design flaw in the Aira system that, I don’t know why they didn’t put MIDI DIN on the VT-3.
