OT and AR with Overbridge in Ableton Live -- OT issue

Hi,

I recently starting writing with the OT and AR with Overbridge in Ableton Live – using Live’s clock for the OT and AR – and I’m having a weird issue. When I record the AR it syncs properly as expected, but when I record the OT it records out of sync, unless the Monitor is set to “Off” (when I record with the Monitor on “Auto” it records out of sync). Any ideas of why this might be happening or how to fix this issue? Thanks.

I believe this has to do with Ableton. Ricky Tinez had a YouTube video about this recently

Are you referencing this video?

I checked it out but I don’t know if it’s a latency issue. I tried recording the OT with Live’s MIDI clock (by itself) and it worked perfectly. But then when I added the AR’s Overbridge plugin, the timing was off again.

I just upgraded my MacOS to 12.1 – I wonder if this is the issue with Overbridge?

OK I solved this by using the AR’s MIDI Out and sent the clock to the OT. Now everything’s in sync.

That is the way. Overbridge should provide a good DAW sync/clock. Feed that clock to the OT from the AR. I used to use the exact same setup.
