OT and AR Pattern Change In Doubt

Hi

I got this to work as when I´m changing Patterns on the OT the AR follows. That´s all good but there´s a small problem that I can´t figure out.

I have 2 Patterns on the OT, A5 and A9.
A5 is blank and does not contain any Trigs yet(I haven´t build it yet).
A9 have Trigs assign and samples from the Sample Slot List.
On the AR I have beats on both Patterns and trigs etc.

As said changing from 1 Pattern to the other works on both machines but when I go from A9 to A5 the samples from OT Pattern A9 is still playing, even without Trigs in the sequencer. (further more not in time)

If I press stop and then start on the A5 Pattern the samples does not play, only when I´m changing the Patterns as the sequencer is running.

The Samples I´m using I sampled from ext synths and I saved the samples in the Audio Editor and assigned them to the Sample Slot List and cleared there respective Recording Buffers too.

The only way I can get the sequencer not to play the samples on the A5 Pattern is by assigning other samples too it or Sound Lock the Trigs.

Is there another way to avoid this?

Are the samples playing on OT A9 looping or do they have HOLD set to INF?

Are A9 and A5 using different Parts? If so, maybe you need to set START SILENT in the Scale Menu.

The samples are looping and Hold was set to INF. I changed the values on Hold but it didn´t help.

A5 and A9 are on the same Part.

Hmmm. I think Start Silent only works to choke Samples that are playing when you change to a Pattern with a different Part - so that probably won’t work either.

If the samples don’t need to loop on their own (ie. they are being retriggered with each loop of the pattern), you could try reducing RELease as well as HOLD…?

It didn´t sort it out but I´ll manage it with the Sample Lock workaround. Properly no big deal as I would lock the samples anyway.

Try a trigless lock on step 1, vol set to 0
Oh & lock the vol value on the step/pattern you want to hear.

Just a little feedback after you all tried to help me out the other day.

I finally got to read Merlins bible and got to touch the unexplored field of the Parts. It did the trick and helped me with my problem as suggested by someone of you.
I been an OT owner for years and still learning this machine and getting better instead of frustrated. So thanks for helping out and push me in a new direction.
