Just thought it was strange this update hasn’t been mentioned in the forums yet:
I think it’s great that we now can have CV and FX Track modulation by aftertouch, pitch bend etc. Quite a significant update really.

It’s on the home page of the forum but I guess there’s not much to moan about.
Good update.
i agree. the finer cv adjustments are very welcome.
but whats with the little dots in the middle of the virtual pots ? i don’t get these. would makee sense if they wld appear at the stored settings but it seems they appear at zero. or am i missing something ?
and the little bug in the sound settings menu is a bit annoying…
The little dots indicate a zero value. This was on the RYTM since day one, so I guess the moved that convention over.
Logging into the forum and seeing new OS Updates is always the best feeling.
The new modulation destinations are a great new feature!
I make extensive use of the CV capabilities of A4, using it with an MS-20 and sometimes the modular, so this update is extremely welcome. Plus it is always exciting to know that a favorite machine is being actively developed, so thank you to the hardworking engineers at Elektron!
It’s all good stuff and mostly good news !
I need to install it. I just started using my A4 with my modular after all this time. Got a Synapse last week. Great module!
I make great use of the cv capabilities with my ms20.
Awesome update , thanks Elektron !
Mhh my a4 makes a weird whiny pitch sound on the startup since this update, does anyone else has this aswell ?
Edit: its almost away after a few restarts…
@whet did you try switching patches? maybe the one you keep recalling is causing this? Otherwise the AR does this at every startup and it’s nothing to worry about so I wouldn’t worry too much.
Doesnt depend on the patch or something, it came back today…
Well iam not worried, its just on the startup, everything else is fine,
It might go away with the next OS update anyway.
Hi elektronauts my question is if i install the new OS in my A4 it’s going to érase all the machine with my old projects ?
no, but always backup anyway, now’s the time !
What’s the best way to go about tuning then? From the A4 or from the oscillator tune pitch controls?
Well, i updated the OS on my Anaog4, now the CV output scaling is all fucked up. I can’t get it back to normal. It plays the Atlantis at a SUPER high pitch. How the hell do i fix it?
I’d recommend tuning your oscillator module(s) to the A4 because that makes it easier to switch to a different module or synth. Tune from the A4 only when that doesn’t work, or if you have a fixed setup where you only use a single module or synth.
