The instrument is interesting and very jammable, I always get lost for a few hours when I turn it on but I can’t fit it in the sound I am interested in at the moment. Totally personal probably but if anybody in EU is interested and doesn’t want to wait for the next batch I am considering selling mine. Hit me up in PM.
It’s super unique. I guess one could call it ‘aleatoric sequencing’ - that is to say, random chance, a throw of the dice. What defines aleatoric sequencing for me is to be able to ‘lock in’ a sequence so it repeats, which is something both this device and the Body Synths Metal Fetishist do very well.
The multiple operating systems thing I find to be a pleasantly old-skool concept - modern stuff tends to require a software update, but this unit requires the user to remove four screws from the base and remove/replace a micro SD card. Somehow this method feels more ‘real’ to me? I dunno. It’s one of those difficult to quantify, tactile responses that we have.
