Opal vs dtn2 fm drum engine

It would very much help some $ related decisions for me, if anyone who has used both could compare Opal vs dn2 fm drum engine.

(excluding hardware vs software interface experience - just sound design / aspects.)

One could argue that if, you don’t care about h/w interface experience, you should just save the $.

Opal is totally rad and you can use way more FX etc. than with the DN. Why not try it out!

exactly. I have a dn1 which i love, and a dt2/octa… so im thinkin dn1+sampling+opal > dn2

the catch is I also have a dt1 I could sell with dn1 and upgrade. probably will do that one day but not in a rush…

trying Opal now. Ive heard good things! suppress the gas
