OP-XY/Z User Thread

Hello,

I have a problem that I don’t know how to solve!

I have a project with 8 tracks. Track 2 is a drum kit (op-xy one) and Track 7 is a Sampler (also with a sample of the OP-XY).

For any reason in the tape loop page, this values are at 0 (page 2) and I can’t not modify the send values. The rest of the tracks worked as expected.

Anyone knows the reason?

Try holding the shift button while modifying the send option on the filter page of the track you want to send.

Go to the arranger view and make sure you don’t have the toggle selected for the track to inherit its preset data from another pattern (the preset source pattern should be blinking)

I recall having issues with the send screen on various Aux tracks when I have a instrument track set this way

Thank you everyone!

no problem, glad that was it. I’m sure there’s a reason they did it this way this but darn is it un-intuitive

im not sure if I have accidentally done something but I have sliced an amen break using the drum sampler and even though the play mode for all slices are oneshot it behaves like its loop, has this occurred for anyone else?

Check if you’ve got the arp turned on maybe. Could just be a glitch too

haha you were absolutely correct, i had the arp on!, thanks a lot!!

i think it should show if the arp is on like it does on the op-1

Another one with the OP-XY.
I’m still wrapping my head around the performance features (some are great, some are instant vibe-death…).

Overall though, I really enjoy this little machine.

Might just be the best performance/song I’ve heard anyone do on the OP/XY.

That’s a fine compliment, thank you!

Thank you very much! No, I recorded them into Logic so I could use the “take” feature and easily pick the best take. Then bounced into OP-XY.
Everything else was done inside OPXY.

Thank you! Not heard of them. I’ll check it out though. Cheers!

He He- I’m Old, Nineteen was a massive hit in 1985 back when sampling was new, this was sort of the track that started it all mainstream with samples speech etc!

Woah, never heard of him before. This is great!

I bought an OP-XY over the weekend, and it was a ton of fun. I’ve never clicked with a groovebox so much!

But I had to return it the next day due to display issues (stuck pixel, bad backlight bleed). Then the replacement unit I got had a group of dead pixels :frowning: what a bummer. I’ll get my third unit in a few days.

Question: has anyone here had similar issues? I’m concerned I’m just going to get bad display after bad display.

No QC issues here but sorry to hear that, that’s pretty unfortunate
