Finally put together a liveset that I can be happy with and sent it to the norwegian Monument blog, they put it out today
This set is darker than anything I’ve done before, which was kind of the point with my Oobleck project. After recording I realized that one master EQ on the mixer had been turned a little bit down (the bass), but in the end I actually like how it turned out…
Machinedrum and Analog Four are doing everything, they are both great for synth and drums, so they share the duty…
Cheers all, been having a lot of fun with this project, and diving deeper into the A4 particularly. The combination of neighbour machines, feedback osc, the filters, modulation options and the fx are just beggign to go into experimental land Hoping to play this out live some time soon
Travelling from Kristiansand to Oslo by train to do a gig with a rock band. This seamed appropriate listening as I recline & take in the veiw, sweet stuff
Hey Oobleck, great stuff man! Would love to pick your brain on how you approach the MD & A4 when creating a set like this, transitions, sound layout etc, whats doing what job basically
Cant wait for your new set m8, now, if i can just get my MD & A4 to flow like yours all will be right with the world again
Edit: Just saw the interview, sorta answers my question OT for transitions then haha
Hey, welcome to Norway, you even got the sunny side of my fair country As we speak, we have +4 degrees, wind and heavy rain, some places just got a bunch of snow in mid-june… yup! Hit me a PM if you ever stop by Trondheim!
Thanx! OT does the transition-trick, but for my last live gig I did it without even touching the OT, so I’m considering to do the swap towards the rytm instead Or maybe even a second A4, that thing is just getting better and better to me…
I’m a little late here Trond, but this is an amazing set man. The movement on this is perfect… the nice gradual changes are just right to keep things interesting without distracting from the overall mood.
Well done man!!!
Mike
