I want to do some quick of samples.

Synths with vocoders let you play a key/note and the sound comes out at the correct pitch. All the online vocoders or the one in audacity don’t seem to let you control the pitch/key/note.

Anyone know an online vocoder which you can set the note/key/pitch?

Thanks

Tal Vocoder is free. You need to assign it to an Audio Channel in your DAW and then assign a Midi Channel to your keyboard and the carrier sends the pitch to the vocoder.

Is there a reason why you’re skipping every VST plugin and not wanting to use a free/extended trial DAW?

It sounds like the web apps you’re using don’t have MIDI support to begin with, best to use a workflow designed for controller support.

Thanks both for the helpful responses.

I don’t own a DAW… is there a free and easy one for Mac?

I do have audacity, but I’m not sure that qualifies.

REAPER | Download is one option.
