I have asked this in different ways and never gotten the response I expected. When you save a project are you saving everything? Pattern Kits sounds and all?
Yes.
Does this also apply to the “save before loading another project” dialog?
No wonder I’ve messed up my projects so many times already
It would really be helpful if the load/save dialogs were more detailed. Sometimes I might write a new pattern but mess up some kits while jamming. In such a situation, changing to another project and saving changes will result in the new pattern being saved (wanted behaviour) but also the “messed up” kits being overwritten with rubbish parameters (majorly unwanted behaviour!)
How about a separate “x changed, save?” dialog for each datatype? like, loading another project would query “project globals changed, save?” followed by “pattern data changed, save?” followed by “kit(s) changed, save?”
Or hey, is there a way to “write protect” patterns and kits so that they’ll never be overwritten with post-jam rubbish accidentally?
i know on the A4 in the project settings you can lock projects. worth a look on the AR
I liked it in theory, saving all stuff, but I have realized the path to ruining parts quickly.
