i want to split up tracks / songs in stems…picked out exactly the way i sum them up in the metric halo mio console during final mixdown in the studio…with complete, detailed and final arrangement…
i place these stems on ot’s track layout via static machines and slice them…
now i want to program patterns that give me the option to say…pattern one is INTRO, pattern two is VERSE, pattern three is BRIDGE, pattern four is CHORUS…
kind of…
BUT…
i don’t want loops…i don’t want parts to play again…i just want to define START points…once i start a pattern with chorus i want the chorus to come…sure…but once this chorus is over by just following the former arrangement of the whole track, i want it to happen this way…
so where ever i jump into that former arrangement by patterns, it keeps going FROM THERE TO THE END of the track if i don’t touch the ot again…
for now, i see only a chance to start such an arrangement part pattern by normal trigs for each track containing a static machine with one of those stems…
BUT if so, i will end up only in a loop defined by the pattern lenght…right?
each time i pass that trigs again, all stems start from this point again…and again…right?
BUT i cant get rid of four or five such trigs at once on the fly…right?
and even if so…i don’t want to do this any time…especially because i want to hit that chorus pattern again a minute later without preparing again…
and i want all these arrangement part patterns to stay the way they are whenever i open that project…so i’m always able to jump through my track the way it was arranged in first place…as on the record, so to say…
SO is there by any chance a way to tell a trig to only trigger ONCE???..and never again until i actually really start that pattern AGAIN…?
Yes, one shot trigs.
Place a normal trig then hold function plus that trig.
Hit yes to arm a trig, hit yes while not in step record to arm ALL one shot trigs
static machine, 1 longer beatstructure, 16 slices, 8 bars, 1 trig…but i can’t get it yellow!
placed the trig, hold it and pressed function…
pressed function, after placing trig, pressed trig again holding function…
no one shot trig…trig stays red and does what he does…retriggering.
