Apologies if this has been discussed before but as the DN2 uses the same FM engine as DN2 - is it possible to load old OB projects made with a DN with a DN2?
I sold my DN a few years ago - but am considering a DN2 and wondered if this was possible, as it’d be great to get some older OB DAW projects playing if possible.

I haven’t tried it myself but here’s what the DNII manual says on p. 21:
“It is possible to import Digitone I projects to Digitone II. However, due to changes in the
device architecture, the patterns in the projects might not be 100% the same.”
Ok that’s promising. Looks like it’s talking about importing project files from DN to DN2 - I’m hoping it’s possible to open via total recall as I have a lot of projects only available in DAW projects and not saved on the device itself.
Going to email Elektron and find out I think.
I’ve emailed Elektron about this last week but haven’t heard back.
I’m really hoping Old DN total recall projects can be opened via DN2 and would be really interested to hear of anyone that has managed/tried it.
Feels like an obvious feature to include, but can also see it being something easily not thought about.
