just a quick qestion regardin elektron boxes and midi through. Do those ports send the midi signals through when they aren´t powered on?
i shouldn’t think so, the optocoupler (an electrical isolator) on the MIDI IN would struggle to transmit any data - although some smaller utility-gizmos can draw power from a MIDI cable, i really don’t see it happening on the Elektrons though, never tried

Nope, doesn’t work. At least on my OT it does not (IIRC).
