Octratrack and Buchla Easel Midi start/stop questions

Hi, two questions related to the Buchla Music Easel (one hw one sw) midi implementation and Octatrack;

  1. I’d ideally like to pair an Easel with my Octatrack; Basically I’d just want to sync the midi clock and start/stop of the sequencer…so the Easel would be sync’d to the Octatrack midi clock but not being sequenced by the Octatrack. The Easel sequencer would start/stop when the Octatrack sequencer is started/stopped. Anyone know if that’s doable?

  2. I have the Arturia software version of the Easel; it’s working the opposite of that^. I have Clock Send and Transport Send enabled on the Octatrack. When I click Start on the Octatrack, the Easel sequencer jumps to the first pulse sequence and stops. When I click Stop on the Octatrack, the Easel sequencer starts. I’m not super MIDI-smart yet, is there a way to fix this?

  1. Weird behaviour.
    Start and Stop midi messages are common. You can invert them with a midi processor but it shouldn’t behave like this.
    Check that software forums or manual.
