Octatrack with PSU-3 power supply

Hi everyone,

I purchased the octatrack several months ago. Today I rebuild my studio and encountered that my octatrack came with the PSU-3 power supply. The octatrack is meant to work with the PSU-2 supply wich has an 6v output (not an 12v output like the PSU-3). I used the PSU-3 in the last months and it worked but I’m very unsure if its the best thing to do.
Is it ok to use the PSU-3 with the octatrack or should I buy the PSU-2. I find it strange that the PSU-3 was in the box. I bought the Octratrack as a new product.

it should be burn if you send 12 v i think you should change the psu to 6v

Yes contact Elektron & ask for the correct supply.
OT is 6-7vdc 3A
Also file a support ticket so they are aware & there is a record.
If you have component failure in the future it will set you in good stead.
