Octatrack Transition + ext. Gear

Hello. I hope you can help me out.

I want to use my Octatrack MK1 for Transitions. The basic Idea is:
My Cirklon sequences my Electribe MX and it is arranged in songs. When it comes to Song Switch in need to Play the Octatrack Recorded Loop.
My setup is inspired from the “tarekith” Video:
Cirklon Midi - Electribe Midi
Cirklon Midi - Octatrack Midi
(Cirklon Port Delay is used)
Octatrack: I don’t use Track 8 as Master.
Track 8, Flex Machine, Recording 8, Trig and Rec Trig (AB) on Step 1,
Crossfader A: Scene 1, Xvol min (Track 8)
Crossfader B: Scene 2, Xvol min (Track 1-7), Xvol max /Track 8), + Mixer Page Dir min
Mixer Page: Dir 110
To switch between Record and not Record, I switch the Rec Trig on and off.

Basically it works, but there are “Errors” that should be solved:

When I press Start on the Cirklon the recording Trigger on the Octatrack does not start correctly (I need to press fast and twice “stop and play”
The Curve from the Crossfader is strange, it is to loud in the middle position (both signals playing)
The signal is phasing when I make the transition
When I am listen to the “already recorded” signal from the Octatrack, and I switch the Song on the Cirklon, I can hear, something like a “flam hit”

Have you got delay compensation active?
This can help with the phasing, although I have noticed it slightly, even when active.

I tried it with delay compensation and also with octatrack as master. Still got some phasing stuff, but less.

Maybe I’m missing something but I would think that it would be best to use the Quatised rec start and length in Octatrack record setup. Then you can hit record at anytime and the loop will be in perfect sync

How do I hit actually record? This is also I point where I am struggling. Now I record with switching the red trig on/off.

Octatrack as Midi Master Solves already some Problems. But I am still not happy with the crossfader behavior. Maybe my “scene settings” are not ideal. Hopefully somebody can also help me there.

Ok. Now I changed it a little bit:

Track 7 Thru Machine, with Volume in Playback Settings +64
Play Trig on 1.
Scene A Fader, Scene 1 Amp XFader Max
Scene B Fader, Scene 2 Amp XFader Min

Track 8 Flex Machine,
Play Trig on 1 and Rec Trig on 1 (if recording)
Scene A Fader, Scene 1 Amp XFader Min
Scene B Fader, Scene 2 Amp XFader Max

Is there a better, easier way to record?
Crossfader:
If record trig on Track 8 is on the volume gets loud in the middlepossition.
If record trig on Track 8 ist off (and already something recorded) I get some phasing stuff.
Would be nice if you can help me there.
