Octatrack together with Tascam DP-008EX

Hi!

I would like to record a track to a Tascam dp-008EX multitrack recorder but I am thinking about inputs and outputs.

The Octatrack has TRS outputs right? The Tascam dp-008EX has only TS inputs which gets me wondering: does it matter that they are not the same? Will it work? Will it affect audio quality at all?

Have searched the internet but not found the info.

Help would be much appreciated!

You’ll be fine and sound quality won’t suffer (unless maybe if you are using really, really long TS cables). If you run into any problem with TS cables (hum or noise), try TRS (or vice-versa) but it really shouldn’t be an issue.
