Octatrack to home hifi?

Hi all. I want to hang d some relaxed jams/rehearsals at a friend’s place and want to run some instruments through the OT without setting up as PA, eg small modular rack, guitar. I have guitar amps I can use but would like stereo sound stage.

Can I safely run the headphone or master out of the OT into the RCA line in of a home hifi receiver? This can be done physically but I don’t want to blow my good home hifi speakers.

My guess is headphone out will be fine, what about master out? Thanks! (we won’t be playing especially loud).

Of course, you can. I do it all the time with the master outs (for listening on a different set of speakers).

Just never plug into a turntable input, all others are fine.
