Question: Why would I send my ST output to my Octatrack? Or why would I do it the other way around?

Syntakt --> Octatrack

  • Resampling Syntakt
  • Additional effects on Syntakt
  • Scenes on Syntakt
  • No overbridge
  • Syntakt already sounds great
  • Losing one track on Octatrack

Octatrack–> Syntakt

  • Overbridge
  • Syntakt effects

ST headphones out? --> OOoooooowww nevermind!!! Yeah!! That’s a great idea!!!

So ST --> OT --> ST --> Overbridge

Could even do ST (headphones) --> OT --> ST --> Amp

this is my constant head -ache. OT wants to be end - of - chain or mixer, but has no overbridge… The only solution would be Heat + FX right? :slight_smile:

Both ways !

  • feedback (send CUE to ST, use a 100% wet delay, inputs sent to fx track + bandpass filter)

You can use DIR AB or CD.

Why ? Overbridge still possible, possible to also send OT to OB via Ext inputs.

I should receive my Black MKII tomorrow ! Best Elektron combo ?

Hi everyone I am looking for the same set up (digitakt+ot mkI)
(i had a nice set up before but had to sell everything for studying : Tanzbar machinedrum mkIIuw ot mkII A4 mkI and Juno 2 everything inside a AH QU SB)
Now i just want 2 machines to do everything i was rytm MKI and A4 mkI during a while in my head and then think about the possibiltie of Syntakt OT and the sound i heard about the syntakt is really really great out of the box with a lot of versatility i just lack samples… so OT.
But like Glennbech i always wanted to have OT at the end but then what you do will always be in a single stereo audio before my OT was only sequencing tanzbar and playing samples…
So for me what i see is think of it as two different instrument and put OT inside ST so i keep the possibilitie to lay down everything on a computer.
OT will be crazy with all the samples and i will have the compressor to make it sounds nice
ST i will jam with the temporary save pattern it will sound great as it is with the analogue FX block even with out a compressor so…
It’s always the same dilemma with OT…
What do you think ?

I passed through a lot of settings during the past month but i want really a short setting
(RYTM A4 then RYTM OT Minilogue or Nymphes etc… i’ll stop at OT Syntakt :sweat_smile:)
