  • these things shouldn’t be so complicated. It’s great that you can dig into details if you want to, such as comparing waveforms, micro timing values and so on just because you’re fascinated by it. But you shouldn’t have to, to make a decision if an instrument is groovy or not.

It either is, or it’s not. You can’t be talked into what something is or isn’t.

For a lot of people, the RYTM is plenty groovy. So it’s down to taste and preference and comparing raw evidence data is one way to find out what you want. But once you’re in the zone, you just know.
