Octatrack Slice Malfunction with Scale Button

I have a song loaded on one track and can slice just fine with the trigs. When I select a different track and then return to that track, suddenly the scale button doesn’t work on the first track. In other words, when I click back to the first track I can now only slice slices 49-64. If I reload the track then the functionality comes back, as in, I can press the scale button to select slices 1-64.

I’m worried! I’m trying to put material together last minute for a performance and this is really throwing me off. What do folks think the issue could be?

can’t recreate the issue myself but have you tried changing to another trig mode (like slots or chromatic) and then switching back to slices?

Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion, but it doesn’t change anything.

Well, I opened the sample in a different track and now that seems to be working as expected. I guess I’ll fool around with the problem track channel now. Maybe changing the machine will ‘reset’ something. Very weird.
