Here’s a techno tune I did where the original idea was to use the octatrack sequencer in a same fashion as the Intellijel Metropolis to get this very frantic melody from a Bass Station II. I found it’s a great way to experiment new ways of creating melodies by checking out various hardware sequencers and how they work and try to emulate their behaviour with what you can get your hands on. It really changes what you can come up with.
