Hi! Sometimes stereo inputs out of phase - i notice it immediately, plus, for example, reverb not hearing and if selecting A+B, sound is almost disappearing, as it should be with out of phase. I must replug input and all back to normal. Cables unbalanced for most cases. Is anybody has similar weirdness?
A+B sums the inputs, A B is better for true stereo sources.
Yes, I know it. But phase issues don’t disappear with A B. I mean, when a REPLUG cables, issues disappear. It’s all about balanced inputs, i think. Similar when you plug your headphones not to the end
could certainly be related to the impedance balanced inputs and the cables not being connected all the way to the connector?
Ah, so are you talking about the physical inputs A and B when you say A+B? I thought you meant sampling with the recorder and you had inputs set as A+B, rather than A B. So is it the same if you use physical inputs C and D?
It happened only twice, inputs A B, but cables certainly were connected all the way. Thanks for answers. I posted it only for this situation, maybe it will helps someone. Not a big problem at all, for sure, however, with tis issue you won’t be able to hear a width of reverb, for example.
I just experienced this issue. I’m very thankful you posted as my trinity has been crammed into a very tight setup. I was taking everything apart about to swap out the balanced cables for unbalanced (very tedious job due to crammed quarters) and decided to check here. Just unplugged/replugged into OT and all seems good. Very strange, but thank you much!!!
