Is the octatrack capable of sequencing more that note and gate per step? Can it do modulation or velocity in addition to CV and gate?
It can, yeah. You can assign MIDI CCs and p-lock their values, too.

Though not really cv and gate, it is still midi messages. You have 2 pages of six cc values you can plock and / or lfo. There are a couple fixed (pb, at) the rest are freely assignable.
This is per midi track and there are 8 of them, so a lot.

Yeah sorry. Bad wording. I know it sends out only midi. I’m using a midi to CV converter.
But this great to know. I’ve always thought that octatrack is just a super powerful machine.

Actually there are 10 cc numbers per track, (up to 8x10 with tracks on the same midi channel), 3 midi lfos per track (up to 8x3), pitch bend and Aftertouch.
There is also an arp that can be modulated by lfos.
Lfos and arp can be edited.
4 notes per step (up to 8x4).
