Octatrack Midi Channel 1 - 4 not transmitting

hi guys,

while setting up the octatrack with an external controller, i found, that a send request will not transmit all ccs from all channels as i excpected. setup is as follows:

midi>channels>
auto ch: 16
trig ch:
1:ch1 / 2:ch2 … / 8:ch8

now, when i turn knobs on the ot and watching with a midimonitor what is being sent,
tracks 5-9 transmit just fine, while tracks 1-4 wont transmit any cc at all.

furthermore, i ask myself, from which channel the send request (cc61) should be sent.
this is not exactly clear from the manual.

i hope, someone can help me out.

alright, solution found:

midi tracks 1-4 were set to send midi over channel 1-4.
now they send from channel 9-12.

but, the question about over which channel the send request
should be transmitted holds…

I would expect (I’m just guessing) that you should use the channel number that you assigned to the OT track whose information you want.

Why not try it and see what happens?
