not really sure what is underneath it. I thought maybe an ADAT or another Akai S series. You are correct about Contact, I believe there is an Eventide H3000 in there as well. I actually really like the movie. The movie was based on the book written by Carl Sagan.
I donāt remember disliking it, it just didnāt stick with me much.
Whateveās under the S5000 in that picture has a hi-8 transport in it but I canāt tell waht it is. My first thought was a DA-88 but I checked and it isnāt.
