Octatrack controller: Launchpad mini mk3 configuration

Hi There,

How do I need to configure my launchpad mini mk3 so it updates its leds when the octatrack sends cc data after receiving the cc61 message?

I’m trying to set up my launchpad mini mk3 to control my octatrack. I’ve got almost everything working: audio & midi mutes, program changes to change patterns & banks, volume faders.

I have difficulties though getting the cc data back into the launchpad after sending cc61 (when you send cc 61 to the octatrack it dumps back all the cc’s so your controller can update - handy when you’ve changed parts)
My octatrack receives cc 61 and spits everything out as it should, but my launchpad won’t update. I really would like my faders on the launchpad to update…

Any tips? Or is this something which is just not possible on the launchpad mini mk3?

Hi,

unfortunately (and it is incomprehensible I know) Launchpad is not receiving midi messages. You have to ask this feature (like I did) to Novation support :wink:

Thanks for the reply, too bad it can’t be done since it would turn the launchpad into a very handy controller… I’ll contact novation and make a request.

Glad i found this as I’ve spent a while trying to get CC61 to work with LPProMk3 and yep still doesnt work :frowning:

They didnt do much with updating with this model, seems like they kinda abandoned the poor thing, which is a shame as it has so much potential!

I’ll make a feature request too but wont hold my breath…
