Yes. They work… kinda.
I noticed I kept grabbing the Level rotary when I wanted A and vice versa. So I grabbed some Chroma Caps in colors to tell the knobs apart.
The caps are great because they have a great rubbery feel and are easy to use… the downside is, the encoder caps are much wider than then the stock Octatrack encoders… so if you replace ALL the encoders, you can easily get your fingers bound up between two encoders… also you may accidentally turn an encoder that you don’t want to turn.
I like the stock encoders, I just really needed Level to stand out from the field of grey encoders… so will stick with them… I tried using every other encoder with a Chroma Cap, but they have such a nicer feel, that it made the grey ones slippery and I had to adjust my grip… so keeping all the stock knobs for A through F will have to do.
The crossfader works nice though… I like that the level Chroma Caps are much larger… which may or may not be to everyone’s taste.
