I use my Octatrack with a Cobalt 8. The Cobalt can receive Midi CC to change (almost) every Parameter. However if i parameterlock ccvalues like the filter or envelope attack the ccs are sent after the note which creates clicks and is not really the ideal behaviour. I would love a feature or setting that sends parameterlocked cc values before the notes. Then all cc controllable synths would react properly and with sound affecting settings changed before the note actually hits

A workaround is to send CCs on a midi track above the midi track sending notes.
A midi processor can also reorder symply.

So the midi track numbers 1-8 also indicate the order in which midi information ist sent?

Hmm sad to loose the an additional midi track for every synth, and it still wouldn’t be as quick as p.locking on an a4 or digitone…
Yes. Btw lowest number tracks have priority if CCs are common.
If T1 use CC74, T2 can’t send CC74 on the same channel if T1 isn’t muted. Maybe workarounds, but afaik I am maybe the only one who talked about it since 10 years…
(This limitation can be used creatively)

Lot of sad subjects concerning Elektron midi implementation. Older brands also reduced their midi implementation so…
A4 doesn’t send CCs apart from turning knobs. You can’t plock them. Extremely poor midi implementation, but it was worth before !
Are you sure Digitone send CCs before notes ?

Ohhh, I just meant that it wouldnt be as quick as using the built in sequencers on a digitone or a4 (which could be alternatives to using an Octatrack(as sequencer) + some other non elektron synth)
