I have just turned on my OT for the first time in ages, and no sound is coming out. And after a short time, no knob turns in the audio channels are registered. If I go to the midi channels the knob turns are registered (so it isn’t the knobs themselves.)
I’m a bit at a loss. Created a new project. Same. Loaded PRESETS. same.
Is it dead?

Have you tried the slider? Sometimes the slider has same function assigned to it and that is muting things.

Phew! OK…I created a new new project and everything is fine. So I suspect midi overload type things. Will plug the midi cable back in and see
Also, have you started a new project? Or, a new bank even? Many times when there is no sound, it’s something you forgot you did in the last project. With a lot of time between use, this can happen.

You mean like midi coming into the OT? Yeah, try it alone, and slowly plug things back I would say.
hmmm. So everything is fine now. I don’t know what I did. I have to go back and retry everything. Sorry for the noise.
I was going to recommend marriage counseling, but it looks like you got it sorted out. Maybe the Octatrack just needed some time to think.
the OT was probably just sulking because you hadnt spent time with it recently. i find mine can be particularly passive aggressive sometimes.
LOL, I don’t really have time/patience to try and repro the issue, but it definitely happened…

What ever it was, it was your mistake. Octatrack is never wrong…
But it sounds bad…
