I haven’t had time to get started with mine, either. I just made some holes in the anti-static bag it came in, called it an enclosure and then did a quick test to check that it worked. The plan was to use it as a small pet for the OT, but now that it has MPE support it will probably be a nice sound source for the Eigenharp as well.
Doesn´t recognize these two (in bold), want to brief me/us?

Ah, sorry. MPE (multidimensional polyphonic expression) is the specifications for a standard on how to deal with per note expression via midi. To allow each independent note to, say, be pitch bent independently. And also which CCs key movement should translate to.
It is useful for Linnstrument and the other expressive controllers (collectively called PMCs), of which the Eigenharp is one.
Currently I believe Axoloti is the only hardware synth with MPE support, but some software ones are beginning to receive it as well.

Ah, cool!
Thanks, didn´t know about those. That´s very exciting for sure.
http://madronalabs.com : the totally excellent aalto (kaivo soon) supports MPE as does their Soundplane I believe (Edit: yes, linked above!)
So… being the thread hi-jacker myself, lets go back to G2:
Has anyone incorporated their OT + G2 via the Automate module?
The Automate module is a quite advance module that I understand the benefits more of, than knowing how to implement it. Anyone tried it?
I think that the Automate module is more suited to controlling an instrument that is more static in architecture (at least, in my usage) than the Octatrack. For an established studio set-up, or for repeated live performance, it’s very useful. Whereas my uses of the OT and G2 are different for almost every occasion on which I switch on either instrument.
Hey all,
Great thread hack! My Axoloti is waiting for me at the post office. Can’t wait to get my hands dirty, but getting a decent casing for it is probably what’s going to hold me from diving straight into it.
Really curious to see how that one is going to work out; i bought it with the G2 architecture in mind, so…
MPE sounds amazing, totally new for me.
Anyways, have a great weekend you all.
best

he he, I’ve been lurking here as I’m considering adding an OT to my setup,
so was surprised to hear mention of Axoloti ( I did the MPE implementation for it)
heres just a quick bit of messing about with MPE using Soundplane/Eigenharp and Axoliti.
still trying to decide what will add more to my setup A4/OT/AK
Nice to see you here.
Here’s our Axoloti thread.
Welcome, I recognize your name from axoloti community (the white bear right?).
Please share whatever you do (or which Elektron you choose), always interesting to hear peoples different approach. Thanks to this thread, I´m now aware of Eigenharp.
Same ‘problem’ for me, spent the weekend searching for enclosure that:

[li]the axoloti fits in (duh!)[/li]
[li]easy to either cut out holes OR ordering an new front (from frontplatten designer) in the same dimensions.[/li]

Right now the candidate seems to be:

btw, it´s great fun to have a g2 patch control the ot and randomize it with the patch mutator…
just added the G2 patch of my OT-Editor/Randomizer to the archive

enjoy!

Thanks a lot. A good reason for me to unpack my gear where my G2 is mounted and connect it to my OT again…
