Octatrack as a mixer hub question

I have an octatrack, but only use it as a mixer hub for my AR and AK.
AR & AK are routed in with the 4 audio inputs, and synced with the midi cable. OT is Slave.

Problem 1:
I want to use the freeze delay only on the beats, not on the AK

Way I solve:
I use a separate Thru channel for the AK and the AR
Works very well.

Problem 2:
When I transfer from one song to the other

Way I solve:
I use A flex maschine to record a loop from the AR and AK… I have a DJ EQ on AR, AK and Flex Machine. This makes it possible to mix from one song to the other.

Final problem:
Now I have 2 different input Thru channels. I want the both to go thru one ‘bus channel’, only to use one DJ EQ for the incoming sound, and one DJ EQ for the looped sound. I don’t like the situation I have right now, that when I want to add bass, I go to 2 different channels and adjust the BASS. This is not good for my workflow.

Final Question? Can I set the input AR and AK on one channel, and only hear the sound from the AR in my Freeze Delay?

possible solutions?

I thought of creating a ‘bus’ channel’, but I couldn’t find a solution for this.

I thought of one Thru channel, where a b and c d come in (a b for the AR, c d for the AK) and only use the a b for the Freeze Delay, so it only freezes the Rytm.

I thought of (and this is what I do right now) become very fast on the Octatrack, to deal with workarounds.

master track, as mentioned, or if that doesn’t suit you use scenes and the fader to effect multiple tracks, you may want to look through the manual and get up to speed on cueing(internally) to see if that could be of use to you creatively
